1. Ownership

Unless otherwise noted, all original text, layout, design, and code onTimeScribe are © TimeScribe. All rights reserved.

2. Quoting and excerpting

You may quote up to 400 words from any article for commentary, criticism, scholarship, or news reporting (fair-dealing / fair-use), provided you:

  • Attribute the author and TimeScribe by name.
  • Link back to the original article.
  • Do not alter the quoted text or its meaning.

3. Republishing

Republishing the full text of an article requires our written permission. Write to hello@timescribe.in with the target publication, audience, and intended use. We are generally permissive for non-commercial reuse with attribution.

4. Photographs & illustrations

Photographs are either (a) commissioned, (b) licensed from photographers we credit on the image, or (c) sourced from public-domain / Creative Commons archives. Each image carries its credit line. If you wish to reuse an image, contact the original photographer where credited; for our own commissioned work, write to us.

5. Translations

Both the English and Hindi versions of each article are equally copyrighted. Translation rights are not granted by default — request explicit permission.

6. Takedown requests

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to hello@timescribe.in with:

  1. Your full name and contact details.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work.
  3. URL of the allegedly infringing material on our site.
  4. Statement (under penalty of perjury) that you own the rights or are authorised to act.
  5. Your signature (typed name is sufficient for digital notices).

We follow Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000 (India) and the DMCA (USA) notice-and-takedown procedures. Valid requests are honoured within 7 working days.

7. License of this site itself

The publication's source code (separate from its editorial content) is private. If we open-source it later, this section will say so explicitly.
